Studio vs home

· · 2 min read · 1.1K views

I've been working in the adult industry for about 13 years, and have managed several models in several agencies, I want to present to you the advantages of working from home as a cam model vs in a studio.

Home:

  • Flexibility: Working from home allows for a flexible schedule, as the model can choose when to work and for how long.
  • Privacy: There is no need to commute, so the model's personal life is kept separate from their work life.
  • Cost savings: No need to spend money on transportation or work attire.
  • Comfort: The model can work in a familiar and comfortable environment.

Disadvantages of working from home as a cam model:

  • Distractions: The home environment can be full of distractions, such as household chores or family members, which can affect the model's focus and performance.
  • Technical issues: Technical problems, such as poor internet connection or equipment failure, or lack of equipment.
  • Isolation: Working from home can be isolating, as the model may miss the social interaction and support that comes with working in a studio.
  • Lack of professional equipment: Working from home may not provide access to professional equipment and lighting, which can affect the quality of the performance.

Advantages of working in a studio as a cam model:

  • Professional equipment: Studios provide access to professional equipment and lighting, which can enhance the quality of the performance.
  • Support: Working in a studio provides the opportunity for models to interact with each other and receive support from staff.
  • Consistency: Studios can provide a consistent work environment, which can help the model to perform at their best.
  • Security: Studios can provide a secure environment for models to work in, as well as technical support to resolve any issues that may arise during a performance.
  • Social advantages, you can have colleagues that can boost up your mood and help you push through the last hours.

Disadvantages of working in a studio as a cam model:

  • Schedule: Studios typically have set schedules, which may not be as flexible as working from home.
  • Commuting: Models may need to commute to the studio, which can be time-consuming and costly.
  • Studio rules and policies: Studios may have specific rules and policies that the model needs to follow, which can affect their autonomy and creativity.
